The Sponsorship Model
Creative Supply Sponsorship
Not advertising. Not access. Support — with a firm, clear set of rules.
The National Artist Index exists to protect and support artists. The Creative Supply Sponsorship exists to resource them. These two things are connected by design — and the connection is protected by a set of boundaries that every sponsor must understand, accept, and operate within before they are welcome inside this ecosystem.
A Creative Supply Sponsor is not a vendor who has purchased access to a captive audience. They are a contributor to the ecosystem — a brand or organization that has chosen to put real resources behind real artists, in exchange for being visibly aligned with the most protected and intentional creative network in the country.
The transaction is simple: You sponsor the supply pathway. NSCN coordinates the protected process. Artists create. The protection is non-negotiable: sponsors do not contact artists directly. Sponsors do not receive artist contact information. Sponsors do not use their position inside the network to market, solicit, or sell to the artists they are supporting. That line does not move.
Sponsorship Boundaries
The Rules. Simple. Firm. Non-Negotiable.
Sponsorship here operates inside a clear boundary. Know it before you enter.
- Sponsor art materials for artists in the National Artist Index through NSCN’s protected coordination process
- Be listed as a sponsor inside the NSCN ecosystem, with brand visibility tied to their support of the National Artist Index
- Receive recognition as a Co-Creative Sponsor — an organization that chose to invest in human creativity over algorithmic output
- Communicate through NSCN — if a sponsor wants to say something to the artist community, they say it through the network, not around it
- Renew and expand their sponsorship over time as the constellation grows — building a long-term, meaningful relationship with the creative community
- Contact artists directly — sponsors do not have access to artist contact information, and they may not use their position inside the network to reach artists outside of it
- Receive artist contact information — names, email addresses, social handles, locations, or any personally identifiable information belonging to listed artists
- Market, solicit, or sell to the artist community using their sponsorship position as leverage or access — this sponsorship is support, not a sales channel
- Attach conditions to their supply contribution — supplies are given to the ecosystem, not to specific artists in exchange for promotion, loyalty, or brand representation
- Represent AI-generated content or use the NSCN platform to promote any product, service, or brand that generates or replaces human creative work with AI output
Eligible Organizations
Who Can Apply
If your brand supports human creativity with real tools and real supplies — you belong here.
Art Supply Brands
Paint, canvas, paper, brushes, charcoal, pastels, inks, markers — brands that manufacture, sell, or provide the physical materials visual artists depend on to do their work.
Creative Tool Suppliers
Easels, sketchbooks, portfolios, carrying cases, lighting equipment, printing tools — organizations that produce the infrastructure that allows artists to work, store, and transport their craft.
Specialty Material Organizations
Printmaking supplies, textile and fiber arts materials, ceramics and clay tools, sculpture materials, calligraphy and lettering supplies — organizations serving specialized creative disciplines.
Digital Creative Tool Providers
Human-operated digital art tools, tablets, stylus hardware, software licenses for illustration and design created by human hands — technology that enhances human creative capability without replacing it.
Arts Support Organizations
Nonprofits, foundations, and community organizations whose mission is the support of working artists — entities that exist to resource the creative community rather than extract value from it.
All Aligned Suppliers
Any brand or organization that sells supplies, tools, materials, or services that support visual artists and creative professionals — and can operate inside a simple, firm set of rules that protects the people they are supporting.
Sponsor Benefits
What Co-Creative Sponsors Receive
Recognition, alignment, and visibility — earned by genuine support.
Co-Creative Sponsor Designation
Your organization is recognized as a Co-Creative Sponsor inside the NSCN ecosystem — a designation that signals to the artist community, to other network members, and to the public that your brand chose to invest in human creativity over algorithmic output.
Brand Visibility Inside the Constellation
Your sponsorship is visible inside the NSCN state hub ecosystem — the national network of creative community activity. Readers, artists, and bloggers across the constellation can see who is supporting the index and why.
Alignment With a Protected Community
The NSCN National Artist Index is one of the few creative networks in the country with an explicit, enforced policy against AI-generated work. Being aligned with that community — and being known as a brand that chose to support it — carries real weight.
A Long-Term Ecosystem Relationship
Creative Supply Sponsorship is not a one-time transaction. Sponsors who operate within the boundaries and demonstrate genuine commitment to the creative community have the opportunity to build a lasting relationship with the constellation — one that grows as the network grows.
The Line Between Support and Solicitation
This network was not built to be a marketing pipeline. It was not built to give brands access to a concentrated audience of artists they can convert into customers. NSCN will not be that, regardless of the size or reputation of the sponsor asking.
The line between support and solicitation is simple: Support flows toward the artist. Solicitation flows away from the artist toward the sponsor’s commercial interest. Inside this network, the flow goes one direction only — toward the people who are creating.
Sponsors who violate this boundary — who attempt to use their position inside the network to access, contact, market to, or extract value from the artists they are nominally supporting — will be removed from the ecosystem without recourse. The protection of this community is not negotiable, and it is not something NSCN will compromise for sponsorship revenue.
If you are here to support human creativity, you are welcome. If you are here to monetize it, you are not.
The Co-Creative Sponsor Commitment
What We Ask of You
Becoming a Co-Creative Sponsor is a commitment to the artists, bloggers, and community members who make up the NSCN constellation. It is a commitment to operate in their best interest — to contribute resources without attaching strings, to build visibility without building leverage, and to be a genuine partner to the ecosystem rather than a parasite inside it.
We do not ask for perfection. We ask for alignment. We ask that your organization’s presence inside this network adds value to the people it claims to support — and that you accept, without reservation, the boundaries that protect them.
That is the Co-Creative Sponsor commitment. Not a marketing agreement. A covenant. With the artists who will receive your supplies. With the network that will distribute them. With the mission that made this page necessary in the first place.
You sponsor the supply pathway. NSCN coordinates the protected process. Artists create. The line holds.
